Naturists love celebrating their lifestyle so here are some fun ways you can express yourself and celebrate along with others!

World Naked Gardening Day

Saturday, May 6, 2023

People across the globe are encouraged, on the first Saturday of May, to tend their portion of the world’s garden unclothed as nature intended.

Gardening has a timeless quality, and anyone can do it: young and old, singles or groups, the fit and infirm, urban and rural. An elderly lady in a Manhattan apartment can plant new annuals in her window box. Families can rake leaves in their back yard. Freehikers can pull invasive weeds along their favorite stretch of trail.

Why garden naked? First of all, it’s fun! Second only to swimming, gardening is at the top of the list of family-friendly activities people are most ready to consider doing nude. Moreover, our culture needs to move toward a healthy sense of both body acceptance and our relation to the natural environment. Gardening naked is not only a simple joy, it reminds us–even if only for those few sunkissed minutes–that we can be honest with who we are as humans and as part of this planet.

All that’s involved is getting naked and making the world’s gardens–whatever their size, public or private–healthier and more attractive. WNGD has no political agenda, nor is it owned or organized by any one particular group. Naked individuals and groups are encouraged to adopt the day for themselves.

World Naked Bike Ride

June, 2023 – Day varies by city

Every year, in cities around the world, people participate in an unusual event: the World Naked Bike Ride (WMBR), during which wearing clothes is optional and the objective is to celebrate cycling, to demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists on the road and to protest against the world’s oil dependency and the negative environmental impact of a car-dominated culture.

‘Be as bare as you dare’ is the dress code for the event and “now you see me” is a slogan to call for greater awareness of cyclists’ vulnerability and their rights.

National Nude Recreation Week

July 5th to the 11th, 2023

The week after Independence Day relax with a Nakedation. Nude Recreation Week offers a way to shed stress, while exploring naturism. Naturists are people who practice naturalism, in other words naked.

Don’t let the hot summer days weigh you down with itchy clothing and bothersome zippers. You don’t need the baggage fees, so lighten your load! Pack lighter and head to a nudist resort near you.

Many of us may feel too self-conscious to explore the nude lifestyle. However, you might be surprised to find there is an estimated 225,000 naturists in North America. For many, the experience is freeing and ultimately, a lifetime choice.

International Skinny Dip Day

Saturday, July 15th, 2023

On International Skinny-Dip Day in particular, the textile world is encouraged to join with naturists and free themselves of their clothes and inhibitions by taking a dip au natural in their backyard pool, a secluded spot on a river or lake, at a sanctioned nude beach, or at one of AANR’s 180 clubs and resorts throughout the U.S., Canada and internationally. There are a number of naturist organizations that celebrate on different days but we will follow AANR’s date so, join us on July 15th, and ‘dip your skin’!

National Nude Day

Friday, July 14, 2023

On July 14th, laundry is unnecessary. It’s National Nude Day! Enjoy an air bath or explore the naturist movement.

One thing is for sure, the observance offers a way to keep cool on a hot, sticky summer day. Nudist groups around the world celebrate this holiday and take it quite seriously, too! Nudists (also known as naturists) are not perverts, even though their desire to go au natural might be offensive to the conservative population. They are individuals who believe the human body is most beautiful in its natural state. Whether or not you agree with them, nudists encourage people to shed the restrictions of clothing and be natural.

Noted for enjoying the natural state, Benjamin Franklin would reportedly take air baths by the open window of his room allowing the fresh air to drift around his birthday suit. The postmaster didn’t invent the naturist movement, nor did it take any particular nation by storm.  #NationalNudeDay

Annual Nude Car Show

August 12th, 2023
Cambridge, Wisconsin

You might think people will be stripping down their cars for a “naked car show,” but no — a village near Madison is hosting a “Nude Car Show” designed for naked adults to take it all off and admire glistening waxed cars.

The “Annual Nude Car Show” is set to take place August 12th, 2023 at the Valley View Recreation Club in Cambridge, Wisconsin, about 20 miles east of Madison, at N3080 East Rockdale Road.

The 4-day nude event was advertised on Facebook by The Naturist Society, a Wisconsin organization “that celebrates the nude human form as inherently wholesome and natural.”
